Dome stud or pyramid stud with prongs instead of screw back studs for DIY leather-crafting

You must have noticed that some handbags have four dome studs or pyramid studs at the bottom.
the bag which can keep the stability when the bag is put on a table.

These studs are easily attached with prongs instead of screws. The screw back studs are time consuming to attach into the leather.

The leather must be semi-rigid or stiff; otherwise the leather will have wrinkles on the surface when the two-phones are perforated through the leather.

you can use an awl to punch two holes into the leather and pierce the prongs through the leather if you don’t have a stud setting machine. After that, you can use a metal rod to hold the prongs inward.

When choosing the studs, please use chrome-plated solid brass dome studs or pyramid studs. The chrome plating lasts longer than nickel plating. The nickel will flake off easily.
